In 2003, to celebrate the first anniversary of my victory over breast cancer, I founded the Reds, Whites & Greens Charity Golf Classic to raise money for breast cancer research and education.

I am astonished by the following this event has inspired, and humbled by the overwhelming generosity of the participants and sponsors.

And while we have raised nearly $500,000 for the Orange County Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, there is so much more work to be done. Every 3 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer and every 13 minutes one woman dies. I am committed to continue working with my friends, the corporate community and the Komen Foundation to provide those battling this disease with the 2nd chance I was so blessed to receive.
